Siddhartha Gautama, more commonly known as Buddha (which means “enlightened one” or “the awakened”), was a spiritual leader and teacher during the 6th century B.C.

There is so much debate among historians about the life of Buddha, but these Buddha quotes show his enduring philosophy.

As per historians’ beliefs, Buddha was born Prince Siddhartha Gautama in the 5th or 6th Century BC in Nepal. His father kept him away from all the realities. In his 20s, the prince came to know the realities of the outside world which led him on a quest for enlightenment. He then decided to left the palace to search for it. After experiencing realities and consistent search Sidhartha Gautama eventually attained enlightenment.
At that time, he became Buddha.

Until Buddha died at the age of 80, he taught many people how to achieve enlightenment. His doctrines eventually became Buddhism.
